The Art of New Beginnings

Here, tradition meets innovation, with each course thoughtfully curated to reflect the season and evoke authentic flavors of Japan.

Our Journey

Shoshin 68 brings together former members of the acclaimed Matsunori team, reunited in the heart of SoHo, New York City.

Led by Chef Yee, whose omakase journey began in 2013 across some of the most respected sushi establishments in the city — including Shuko, Cagen, Momoya, Bond St, and Sushi of Gari — Shoshin 68 is a reflection of decades of craft, precision, and passion.

Our philosophy is rooted in honoring the foundations of traditional Japanese technique while embracing a contemporary sensibility. The result is an omakase experience that feels both deeply familiar and quietly surprising — a seamless dialogue between the time-honored and the refined.

We are a small, intimate sanctuary in SoHo, committed to sourcing the finest fish from around the world and delivering it to your table with the warmth and attentiveness that defines every evening at Shoshin 68.
